Annual Technology Series to Focus on Web 2.0
The AIM Institute, in partnership with the Peter Kiewit Institute and the Gallup Organization, is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Technology Series, entitled Web 2.0: Innovation, Interaction, Intelligence. Known throughout the region for its interactive format, thought-provoking content and engaging presentations, this year's series will feature Internet visionaries, who will present unique perspectives on emerging Web 2.0 concepts. These sessions will be rich in new ideas, do not
require programming skills and will inspire you to redefine how your
organization utilizes the web.
All sessions will be held at the Gallup University Campus. Please sign up for the breakfast seminars at least 24 hours in advance and the day-long workshops at least 10 days in advance. More and Registration...

IT Leadership Academy Names First-Year
Participants
The AIM Institute is pleased to announce the
participants selected for the first annual IT Leadership Academy. Participants
will attend a series of seven monthly day-long sessions from November 2008
through May 2009. The goal of AIM and the academy sponsors is to help area IT
managers develop and enhance their leadership skills to maximize the

Compassion Institute Funds Make a Difference - Part
2
The Metro Area
Continuum of Care for the Homeless is spreading the word on how to prevent and
eliminate homelessness within the next 10 years. Take
Flight Farms will soon offer the services of its horses to help team members discover their
unique leadership and creative problem-solving skills. Credit

populations get out of debt. And Ted E. Bear
Hollow is
strengthening its capacity to help children work through their grief.
All of these projects and more are moving forward thanks to the capacity
training and financial support of the Compassion Institute of the Midlands
(CIM). The program, operated by the AIM Institute in partnership with the
Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM), supports faith- and community-based
nonprofit organizations within a 50-mile radius of Omaha. In the second of a

AIM Supports Heartland Technology
Expo
More than 250 people attended the Heartland
Technology Expo in Kearney, Neb. on Oct. 21. The growing annual event is
sponsored in part by the AIM Institute and over 20 other sponsors in the
Tri-City area.
Three AIM staff members presented at the event. Dave
Coover discussed the 21st Century Marketing Curriculum that AIM has developed in
cooperation with teachers in south-central Nebraska's ESU 11 district. Pete
Trerice demonstrated leading-edge technology tools used in business and
education, and Tim Erickson presented information on technology careers. More...
